IKEA - Incident reporting training

When briefed for the IKEA safety training videos overhaul project we were shown a bunch of safety videos from various companies. From airline pre-take off safety procedure videos to construction site safety. Were they serious? No. Did they deliver the message is an interesting and memorable way? Absolutely.

It was clear from the outset that IKEA wanted, fun, creative and different safety videos to stand out from the others and to make their co-workers not only enjoy their training videos but to remember the messages conveyed in them.

We believe that a rap about incident reporting that is now so engrained into the minds of the people who’ve listened to it that they can recite the song start to finish is a success. From the shop floor to the central office we are sure everyone at IKEA UK now understands how to report an incident and will remember how to for many many years to come.

I guess it was just too catchy… sorry again about that.
